The 20 acre retreat has 17 acres of beautiful woods with trails for walking or cross-country skiing and are perfect for exploring or short meditative excursions.

Two acres of lawns hold a classical labyrinth walk, flower gardens, a large vegetable garden, raspberry and blackberry bushes and a grape arbor, towering pines, giant oaks, and stately birches. All this can be viewed from the large two level deck of the lodge as you relax and listen to the singing of the birds or watch the sun set. If you would like assistance in developing a self-directed retreat, we would be happy to provide as much input as possible. We can also provide maps and steer you on day hikes at all 5 of Door County's State Parks.

Although only a short distance from the bustle of the city, engulfed in the peace and serenity that wraps Sylvan Lodge Retreat, you will certainly feel as if you have left civilization far behind. Should you decide to leave the grounds, you will find, in addition to the 5 state parks, five golf courses nearby and a public boat launch 1 mile up the road.

Many other exciting, interesting activities available in Door County can be arranged through Sylvan Lodge including (but not limited to) charter fishing, horseback riding, pleasure craft rentals, excursions, team leadership center participation, spa and masssage therapy appointments, and group participation events.

Sylvan Lodge is a year-round, alcohol-free facility. Smoking is only allowed outside the buildings. Each suite (2) in the lodge and the cabin are available for separate rental (nightly & weekly). Each building may be rented separately, or the entire facility is available for your group.
